2025: Ab. (prologue win, navigator for K. Al Attiyah)

B.J.

  • It was until mid-December that Bruno Jacomy got the final heads up to take part in the 2025 Dakar alongside Khalifa Al Attiyah. Initially planned to be the co-driver of USA’s Larry Janesky with whom he had done the Rallye du Maroc, a last minute withdrawal saw him move elsewhere.
  • He first took part in the Dakar back when it was on his South American continent. At the time he wasn’t in a vehicle but acted as the road-book assistant for the Honda HRC squad and then the official Yamaha team. In 2022 he was finally given a chance as the navigator of Britain’s Thomas Bell. A great first experience that saw him finish in 7th spot of the Challenger class. A year later he returned with his Argentine compatriot Lucas Del Rio, once again managing to finish the rally.
  • On the last edition, the 36-year-old witnessed a whole different Dakar taking part in the Dakar Future Mission 1000 project as the co-driver of the hydrogen powered HySe vehicle.
  • For his fourth Dakar, the navigator from Mendoza will be alongside one of the fastest drivers in the field in one of the most competitive cars, a Taurus prepared by Nasser Racing.
