Rallye du Maroc I Stage 1: facts of the day

FIM W2RC: It all comes down to Branch versus Van Beveren
Ross Branch (Hero MotoSports) claimed the special and made a quantum leap towards the title today. The Botswanan leader of the Rallye du Maroc is 10′53″ ahead of Adrien Van Beveren (Monster Energy Honda), the last man standing between him and the Rally GP world championship. His closest rival up until now, Ricky Brabec (Monster Energy Honda), had to quit the race after hurting a knee during the stage. 16 points separate Branch from VBA in this final mano a mano!

FIA W2RC: A whopping 42%!
Nasser Al Attiyah scored the very first win by a Dacia Sandrider in Zagora today, but he also picked up his 40th career W2RC win on the same day that the FIA category marked its 100th stage. The back-to-back reigning champion, who could seal the deal on a third crown on the bounce later this week, has taken part in 94 of these 100 specials. Plug in the numbers and it all comes out to a 42.5% success ratio since January 2022!
