 Eugenio Amos and Paolo Ceci are ready to turn the tables. The last time the duo headed tot he Dakar, two years ago, Eugenio had to withdraw because of Covid-19. It was an absolute heartbreak for the young pilot and car lover, who founded his own garage to dedicate himself to the iconic Lancia Delta Integrale. The Dakar runs in his blood, after his father raced a truck back in the 1980s. He participated himself a couple of times in South America before preparing a strong go in 2022, only to be stopped at the last minute, and for a year and a half. In 2023, these struggles were behind him and Eugenio was back with his friend Paolo Ceci, ex top rider who ran Dakar from 2010 with Aprilia alongside Joan Barreda to 2016 as an official HRC rider. Their association has been successful across the 2023 season, finished by a Top 5 overall in Morocco for their first year in the T1+ class with the Toyota Hilux DKR from Overdrive Racing. Top 15 still the penultimate stage of the last Dakar in January, 4th overall in stage 10, the last one drop them unfortunately behind the Top 50. In Morocco this season they decided to join the French team MD Rallye.
